Yew Bowl
Yew is one of the only softwoods I use. Despite it being called a softwood the timber is still exceptionally strong, it even used to be used for bows. The part that is "missing" from this bowl is from a dead limb. I choose to leave things like this in my bowls as I believe it is important to show that timber is a natural material.
This bowl is 25cm (10 inches) in diameter.
Like all of my bowls, this one is food-safe. it is finished with a blend of carnauba wax and natural oils making it vegan, sustainable, and food safe. When the time comes to refresh the finish, to keep it looking nice if you are using it regularly, it couldn't be easier. I use Uulki Wood Wax, it is inexpensive for a pot that will last for ages and is really easy to apply. It can also be used on your other wooden kitchen utensils so it's keeping a pot in your kitchen.
All of my products come gift wrapped in tissue paper. If you have any special requests if its a gift please put this in the order notes and I will do my best to fulfill them.
