Local Pear Wood Bowl

I made this bowl from a pear tree that grew in a friend's garden. I turned this bowl while the wood was still green so that it would warp as it dries. This is what gives it its more interesting and unique shape. This bowl is 17cm (7 inches) in diameter.
 
Like all of my bowls, this one is food-safe. It is finished with a blend of carnauba wax and natural oils making it vegan, sustainable, and food safe. When the time comes to refresh the finish, to keep it looking nice if you are using it regularly, it couldn't be easier. I use Uulki Wood Wax, it is inexpensive for a pot that will last for ages and is really easy to apply. It can also be used on your other wooden kitchen utensils so it's keeping a pot in your kitchen.
