Handmade Porridge Spurtle - Walnut
A porridge spurtle is a kitchen utensil designed for stirring porridge, the cylindrical shape stops the porridge from congealing as it would on a normal spoon. I make them from cherry, maple, and walnut which are some of the traditional woods used for spurtles.
I offer a few different styles however each one is roughly 27cm (11") long. Perfect for the porridge lover. As wood is such a unique material I photograph each spurtle and upload it meaning you will receive the exact one in the photograph.
Clean by wiping down with warm water. I finish these with a blend of carnauba wax and natural oils which is vegan and completely food safe. To keep your spurtle looking good you should apply a food-safe finish every few months depending on how much you use it.
